LAC 2032 - Basic Law Academy I

9 Credit

Academy standards are set by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. Areas covered include, but are not limited to: administration, legal, human relations, firearms, driving, investigation, traffic, patrol, civil disorders, unarmed self-defense, and first aid. After successful completion of both academy courses, the student is eligible to take the state examination for police officers. Admission for the academy requires a felony-free background check by fingerprinting and a physical. LAC2032 and LAC2042 must be taken consecutively.
